Heart's Reminder

Sometimes we need to remind our souls, our hearts, that God is Faithful. I struggle with drowning in my shortcomings and failures. I can only see the Point A I am standing on but I forget that Point B is waiting for me! I forget that God has promised me He will get me to Point B. I forget that Point B is really as amazing as God says it will be. I lose sight of Jesus in the journey from A to B, because the road in between is narrow and in the wilderness. It requires work, peeling back layers upon layers of junk and sin. It is often paved with mourning, sadness, grief, anger, fear and temptation at every turn. Trials of many kinds await us as we move from glory to glory.

But the Lord, He is faithful. He has started a work and He will not leave it unfinished. This picture is to remind us to remind our souls of where we are going. Though the road can be dark and hopeless we have to discipline ourselves to celebrate the good God has already done and what he has yet to do! Sometimes it takes many, many times saying those promises over your heart before it accepts it. It's a process. One day at a time.

Jesus is with us every step of the way. He weeps with us on the journey. He protects us though we do not see his protection at times. He speaks to us when we cannot hear. He is always good, whether we understand His ways or not. He is going to get us to Point B. We will get there!

Remind your heart what God has promised you. Healing awaits us who hope in the Lord! You are never too lost! Remind your heart over and over until it takes its hands off its ears. This will take time and failure and discipline. No one likes it. No one likes the wilderness. But the Journey is where God does his most beautiful work.

I've been using that song to remind my heart that I am more than the mistakes I make. That God is always going to finish what he starts in my life. :') I've cried many a tear the last few weeks, but I hold onto the promises of God. He is Good. And I will praise Him in this Dark time.
